His physician peers voted for him to receive this award.
Only nine Pain Medicine doctors were given this award. Seven of these doctors hired a public relations firm to solicit votes for the nominations. Dr. Attaman is one of the two physicians that did not hire a public relations firm and won the award honestly. Dr. Attaman won the award through honest work and a good reputation with other physicians in the community.
